I have been struggling.... praying for more... but I need to work if I want to change. Knowing that it is a struggle to get good things. Things that are of God.. the fruit of righteousness. Lord come.. fill me up! I need you! We are called to make the hard choices... to humble ourselves at his feet. May we be so lost in HIM that it doesn't matter the calling he puts on ours lives. Let's live all for HIM!!

The Vine

Have you ever read John 14-16? If so.. do you believe it.. take some time to read it and pray about it! Because if it is true... why don't we believe it and live it? It totally rocked my socks! The one that came to save left so that one could come that would live in us!! Do you know what that means.. that the King that raised the DEAD.. Lives in US!! Did you read that??

So that means whatever may come my way... it doesn't matter because I have one that is greater than me... living in ME! What do I have to fear? This last week has been hard.. but so good! God's comfort, grace, mercy and patience Wows me in so many ways! I was walking in very dangerous waters.. many where praying.. I thank God for is revaluation. Because He loves me... he shows us the truth... and calls to believe it!

I must give God all the PRAISE and GLORY!! Thank you that I can hear the TRUTH! I want to live it out! I was reminded of the power of His Holy Spirit and His working in His people. We must not doubt the working he does in all of us when we are willing. I encountered two angels this week....

Myself and two close friends where on our way to the airport.. two of us where trying to make a flight. While at an intersection my friends car stalled... we where panicking... trying to get it to start. It felt like forever while we where trying to get it to start.. calling out to God for help two guys came up to the car.. asking if they can help. They helped us move the car into a parking lot and calling for a taxi when the car decides to work. I have no doubt they where followers of God.. we have no idea where they came from... and they where gone like that.

God is living in us... why do we doubt. May we keep our eyes open to be someones angel.. or encourager, helper, friend and a little HOPE in this dark world of hopelessness.

The Forgotten God

I am currently reading a book called The Forgotten God, by Francis Chan. It is a living changing book! The memory of walking through the airport in California after crossing the border from Mexico... from my June mission trip is in my mind as I think about the gift of our Holy Spirit. While walking with all my stuff... looking into the faces.. and eyes of all the beautiful people God created.. I began to cry... talking to Jesus "they don't know you.. they don't know how much that you love them.. they don't know your sweet touch... your healing." It sadden me so very much! I was reading the following verses last night.

Galatians 5: 16-25

Life by the Spirit

16So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. 17For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want. 18But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under law.
19The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.
22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires. 25Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. 26Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.

I have to be honest... I feel my savior calling me to give it all... with no worries. It is hard.. my PRIDE, FLESH, SELFISHNESS and FEAR get in the way. What would we be if we came humbily to God and wasn't afraid to live our lives lead by HIM and his Holy Spirit for his Glory! I want it JESUS!

Romans 5:1-5

Peace and Joy 1Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we[a]have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we[b] rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. 3Not only so, but we[c] also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.

Praise God for his HOPE through his HOLY SPIRIT! Let us press into our savior through faith.

So Long...

God's faithfulness... yes, I have been encountering the faithfulness of the Living God. Have you? Where do I start.. maybe I should just go from here on. I have to praise God for my trip to Mexico this June, with the E-free youth group. It was a trip of challenge, growth and encouragement from God. The love of God was reflected in so many lives... it was a driving focus to want MORE. More of God, more out of life and more from oneself.. reaching!

My life has been changing in so many ways.. and the lives around me!!! YES.. good change! It is so hard to see seasons change.. people change.. situations.. but at times it is a realise and a victory to FREEDOM! Amen! So whatever challenge or heartache may come... who knows it could be our chance to victory and FREEDOM!! So let us take life as it comes and hold on to the things that matter... and choose to TRUST God through it ALL! Amen!

Death to Self

I have been learning recently about the true freedom, healing, deliverance and victory that comes from a life of death to SELF. Learning how to live a humble life full of the spirit and putting our PRIDE at the feet of Jesus. I by no means have done this... but long to live a life of true humility so Christ may abound.

We have the Spirit of the Living God that Raised Christ Jesus from the DEAD!

But, it is to be found in the habitual, never for a moment to be forgotten position, which the more abundant grace will keep more distinctly alive. It is that our true place- the only place of blessing, our one abiding position before God- must be that of those whose highest joy is to confess that they are sinners saved by grace."

Praise the Lord that we do not have to do it on our own power, that through humility the power of the spirit helps us to say NO to ungodliness and worldly passions. I long to be one that is devoted to humility so the power of the living God can rise up in power through me for his GLORY.

God is FAITHFUL!

Why is it so hard to die to SELF at times... I believe it is because the enemy is one of PRIDE... he knows that one that is devoted to dieing to self has the POWER of the LIVING GOD working through them... it is no longer about self! I want to take the GROUND that the enemy is on I want to see GOD victorious over my LIFE and the LIVES of all who are in Christ!

The need to Belong

We all have the need to Belong. That is why we have gangs, societies, clubs and churches of many kinds.... you pick! We form many places to Belong and meet our needs.... a place you Belong. We all have this need to Belong which God can only truly satisfy.
What does the living word have to say: Ephesians 1: 3-14
³ Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, ⁴ just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love ⁵ He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will, ⁶ to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in the Beloved. ⁷ In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace ⁸ which He lavished on us. May we find that we Belong in Christ alone. I pray that we start to believe that we are what God calls us Beloved, Chosen, Accepted, Adopted and Loved. I believe that we need to find our worth in Christ alone but we also need true fellowship. We all need people in our lives that we can be total open with and share our hearts with that will hold us accountable. I praise the living God for the people he has put in my life in this season!

Healing of my Finger

A little over a week ago God did a mighty healing in my finger! When I came back from Europe I noticed a lump at the base of my middle finger that was very hard. I kept watching it and was getting a little worried due to the fact that it started to grow a little and hurt when I hit it on things. I was in the process of making an doctors appointment when one night I was talking to God about it and I felt the Lord whisper "Don't worry about it I have already taken care of it." So I felt my finger and it was totally gone. I couldn't believe it, I felt all my other fingers just to make sure I had the right finger and gave God the Glory. "Praise be the name of the Lord." Some would say that happens all the time! I say that I have a mighty healer that cares about me and is a relational God that delights in caring for his children, AMEN!

The Loss Sock

My sock story is a normal story for most of us... but I like to think of my God is a little more creative than that. I have one pair of gray socks that go well with my gray dress pants. A month ago I was washing clothes and when putting them away I had lost one of my socks in between. I was sad but had hope that God would help me find the lost sock, so I tucked it away for safe keeping. So now this last week while putting away clothes and cleaning I had been in and out of the room as I entered for the fifth time their was my sock in the middle of the room! God told me as I bent down to pick the sock up "Miriam, remember that I am faithful." I thought it may have been the sock from my safe place, I went to my draw and their it was the other sock that made them a pair. It may just be another sock story but I think it was God returning my sock and reminding me of his faithfulness. He is a God that shows me he loves me daily. I am not sure where that sock was hiding all this time... I like to think in the hands of a loving God that cares enough to show off to his daughter.

My Father's Faithfullness

Welcome to my blog, this is the first time ever! I want to dedicate this to show evidence of God's faithfulness in my life and the ones around me! God be the Glory, for everything he has done in my life! God has given me an amazing Godly Family, wonderful Godly Friends, Good Health, A good Job, a place to live and much much more! God has been calling me to Praise HIM at all times and testify to his faithfulness. God is calling me to give HIM everything. It is one amazing journey that I am learning to walk with my LORD. God has been calling me to learn to have a true relationship with my savior and to learn how to fall in love with him as the lover of my SOUL. Recently I read a blog on http://www.jimmyneedham.com site under Kelly's Page that brought conformation and encouragement to my walk with the LORD. God is so in love with each of us... let us learn to notice.
